Strong collaboration in Gothenburg for more internships and jobs
During our latest visit to Gothenburg, we followed up on our rewarding collaboration with Lindholmen Science Park and also got to meet Arbetskamraten Alexander and his colleagues. Alexander started working there just over three years ago— a great example of how long-term partnerships can create real opportunities in the job market. Here you can watch a short film that Lindholmen Science Park made about Alexander’s journey: [link to the film]
We’re also happy to share that we’ve now started a new collaboration with Gothenburg’s adapted upper secondary school. During the visit, we met Johannes Haglund, who is both an APL educator and coordinator for municipal after-school support, within the Swedish Public Employment Service’s project SamSTART.
As part of our work to create more internship and job opportunities for our target group, we also met Mikael Jonsson, Head of the Job Security Council in the West Employment Area. It was an inspiring conversation about how more companies can get involved and become members of Arbetskamraterna, and in doing so help contribute to a more inclusive working life.
We’re very optimistic about the continued work in Gothenburg—together, we’re making a real difference!
